THE COUTURE SPIRIT

Perfectionism and requirement

Claude Montana’s fashion shows excelled both in styling and presentation. Thanks to their impact, the models who walked for Montana were considered prestigious, and invitations to his shows were the most coveted in the city. With the return of fashion to harder lines in 2007, Montana became a source of inspiration for many designers. Alexander McQueen often praised and honored Claude Montana in his collections. The two designers shared a love for construction and superior quality.

Montana is a genius admired for the precision of his cuts and the purity of his designs, which greatly contributed to the re- volution of the fashion silhouette of the 80s.

Claude Montana’s fashion shows, described as grand theatrical shows, break all attendance records and sometimes border on hysteria. Journalists, buyers, and fashion victims flock to them. «We can talk about exceptional enthusiasm, the crowd waiting outside was screaming,» says a fashion editor.

His models grace the covers of magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Marie-Claire... His success is international. His friend Yves Saint-Laurent considers him one of the greatest talents of his generation.

"People used to bang down Montana’s doors to be allowed in."

Inès de la Fressange

" His influence on the runways continues."
